"Why's it been so hectic, pray tell?"
Well, my dear internets, it's not just been the one thing.
Operation
The main reason I've not been online much is I've have a very badly infected foot. If you ever get a metal splinter, tell someone about it. it's crucial. Because of my reluctance to do so, I've had to have an extremely painful operation, lost a good portion of my big toe and a decent amount of mobility in my foot.
There have also been more embarrassing, regretful long-term effects I'm not comfortable talking about, but needless to say I sorely regret it.
Swine Flu
Yeah, yeah, I know it looks like a giant cop-out, but trust me that stuff is nasty. It added to the complication of the above problem and it pretty much screwed up the later part of my summer holidays and start of term. Which brings me to my next point.
College
I owe a lot of work to college. I mean, a LOT of work. I'm not a very academic person, I'll admit. I failed my first year of college, then started at my current one (The Manchester College) and now I'm in my second year. Most of my friends are in university.
So I didn't do a lot of work last year, which means I've been desperately trying to catch up. Now I'm reasonably healthy, I'm going to try and do as much as is physically possible during Halloween half-term and catch up last year's paperwork (The physical work is apparently distinction grade) and finally get my head above water. If I don't finish before Christmas, I'm outa here. x:
Birthday
Just to throw a spanner in the works, I had a weirdass birthday in September that resulted in me getting a brand new 360. I've been playing way, WAY too much halo. XD
Computer Trouble
My machine's coming close to dying on me. I can't really play games thanks to the failing CPU and memory banks, the monitor's near-death and it's no longer covered on the warranty. oh teh noes ):
Don't worry though, I got a new Hard Drvie and most of the stuff transfered over with no problem! All I lost was my FireFox bookmarks and some programs that can be easily re-installed.
Various other Projects
Stuff like my website, my upcoming retro platform-shooter game (which SOME of the more traditionally-minded people think is an abomination. Not that I give a shit what their opinion is.), College art work, gift art and fan art. It's been busy.
UPDATE 26/10/09.
I got a new one thanks to it being used primarily for "educational purposes". Our government is so flawed, you gotta love it. <3
TL;DR?
I was sick, had an operation, got Halo, fucked up my computer stuff and nearly got booted from college. Woo.
Expect arts
Expect Journals
So in conclusion, I've pretty much gone back on my promise for more frequent journals, but I have a good excuse. It's signed by my doctor and everything.
Please don't make me do gym. = ;_; =

As an artist, we could learn a lot from crayons:
~Some are Sharp, some are dull,
Some are pretty, some have wierd names,
All of them are different colors,
Yet they all live together in the same box.~

And on the 7th day, God created Gordon Freeman.
